YAKMUSIC in New Zealand have gathered artists from around the world for an exciting project, dedicated to Brad Smith, Rogers Stevens, Christopher Thorn, Glen Graham and the late amazing Shannon Hoon.

YakMusic in New Zealand have gathered a variety of artists from all over the world (USA, UK, Argentina, and Canada) for an exciting project, dedicated to Brad Smith, Rogers Stevens, Christopher Thorn, Glen Graham and the late amazing Shannon Hoon.

Bands submitted versions of their favorite Blind Melon tunes, and YakMusic selected, produced and packaged the songs together to make a touching tribute to a very special band of the 90s.

The album spans almost five years of Blind Melon favorites over three albums and also includes a cover of a never-before-released Blind Melon demo called Tickled Pink, recorded and performed by Jena Kraus (who featured on Blind Melon's Mouthful of Cavities).

    I have been listening to this non-stop since it arrived. I don't normally enjoy tributes to bands I love but I have to agree with the other reviewers who said that this disc really captures the spirit. Highly recommended to any real Blind Melon fan!

    Every song on this CD is really well done... very good interpretations from the artists and bands on the CD. For me, the highlights of this album are "Deserted", "Drive", and "Tickled Pink". To be honest, I don't really enjoy the version of "Life Ain't So Shitty" as much as the other songs, but definitely buy this album! You won't be disappointed.

    I've heard a lot of tribute records and they usually suck sad to say, but this one is something else it is mind blowing to heare these songs come alive again though blind melon always been my favorite band. It's just the best tribute i've ever heard. Greetings from FINLAND

    I've been wanting this CD ever since I heard about it, and I finally ordered it. It came today, and I listened to it as soon as I got back from my mailbox. It is beautiful. I can't stop listening to it. I love the ways in which all these artists have breathed some "new life" into these tunes. This is a must have, in my humble opinion. GET IT!

    I was really looking forward to receiving this CD once I found out about it. It's really emotional for me to listen to. You can feel the deep appreciation all of the contributing artists have for Blind Melon. As a tribute album, it simply oozes with respect for the band they are covering. These artists give some very original twists to some fabulous music. I absolutely love it. I've loved Blind Melon since the very beginning, and we all really missed out on something wonderful after Shannon died. This is a wonderful way to honor him, and to keep enjoying the very limited amount of music he offered us in his short time here.
