    This is a fantastic CD, it starts out strong with O'Cleary Shuffle and doesn't stop. There is nice variation of styles, from the slow, controlled and at times wailing sadness of A Foolish Lament to the laid back Joyful abbandon, and finally the burning In the Kitchen.

    Very cool music to listen to. You have to be in the right mind set when you are listening to these cats. Like when you are over heating after a jog along the mean streets of Tulsa. Well have a Fat Tire Ahle and cool your system down! Yep,yep,yep...Uptowners are for real daddy! lead by the horn dog himself Ian Hendrickson-Smith:these fine fellas are freaking me out! Can you dig it buddy boy? I sure recommend these New Yorkers. For sure they cook up some fine vittles Beavis!!

    Well when i get all skuzzed up and go out on the town with me misses. Then i am so stoned outta me headz! Yahoo,Shazzam these Uptowners as i like to say are horny and pulsing with tenor toots and trumpet blasts. I have healthy doses of ganja on me person too. then while all is clear i skipp away from me misses and do some Bong olympics son! Like this Uptown 5 some with Ian hendrickson leading the charges...i rush back to the cabaret and all baked out and try and secure the scene! This Quintet can lay the smack down on your candy asses! Lead by NY Altoist Ian Hendrickson-Smith. These guys reintroduce the post Bop era all under the roof of the Smoke Jazz Club.
