Bring back those wonderful memories!
author: Elizabeth McDonaldThe orchestra sounds just the way they did when I first heard them perform at one of their concerts in Toronto last year. I used to do recordings in professional studios earlier in my musical career and I am accustomed to the routine of having to record and re-record bits and pieces of every song till the producer decides that everything sounds just right, and so that the engineers have enough material to do their edits with. The Starlight Orchestra, however, has instead chosen to put together a CD from unedited live recordings ... and I admire their courage for having done that! So what you'll hear on this CD are energetic, honest and unpretentious live recordings with no overdubs! No second chances! Like a live concert in your living room. I hope their music will bring back wonderful memories, as it does for me of prom nights and dances in gorgeous ballrooms. Come on and buy their CDs. They have another Christmas CD, too. Be a good sport and help the charities they support!
