(About MP3 downloads at CD Baby)

Jesse's multiple guitars give his listeners the best of both worlds, with romance and excitement all in one great CD.

notes

This has to be the most "fun" CD I've ever made.
The studio owner (Skip Spane) and I decided to use 6 different guitars in an effort to create that "multiple recording" sound which was invented by Les Paul.
With this in mind - I played each guitar through a "state of the art" synth, which allowed me to reproduce the sounds of all the different instruments - including Piano, Organ, Bass, Strings, etc. It took a lot more time and effort to do it this way - but we are quite pleased with the results. We hope you agree.

Also - we need your help with our next project.
We're in the process of gathering material for a new CD entitled "Most Requested Songs" - so Please - if you have a favorite and would like us to included it - send us an email - at jesseleejohnson@comcast.net - and we'll do our best to put in in the lineup!

Sincerely,
Jesse Lee Johnson

Bio:
From the age of 6, Jesse knew what he wanted to do; play the guitar! Luckily his mother knew about a half dozen chords and from that beginning, he practiced every free moment. In his teens he discovered jazz and began studying with a teacher at the University of Oregon. At 19, he decided to "go for it" - loaded everything he owned into his car and headed for Los Angeles. He soon landed a job as a studio musician. There he had the good fortune to meet and work with many popular artists of the time, such as, Roy Orbison, The Righteous Brothers, Bobby Darin, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, James Burton (Elvis Presley's guitar player) and many, many more.

He has worked almost every venue from Las Vegas to Reno to Chicago. "Those casino gigs could be tough." says Jesse. "You had to read all the charts for the different shows. I've met and worked with people like Glen Campbell, Fats Domino, Bobby Darin, The Righteous Brothers, Roger Miller, Little Richard and even the great Chuck Berry."
"The unusual gigs were things like playing background music for an elephant act, or playing banjo behind a comedy team. Still, all in all - I wouldn't trade the experience for anything." "Most of the time it was great fun with great people. And I will always be thankful to those wonderful artists who gave me work. They made my musical career a reality".

  • Great sounds!

Great sound bites Jesse! Cant wait to hear the entire CD! I'm going to order it later this afternoon but I couldn't wait to say hello. I was the bass player in the house band at the Palominio Club in LA in the 60s, when you used to come in and jam with James Burton and Glen Campbell. You guys scared us all to death! Thanks, Brad Wilson

  • It is amazing what this guy can do with a guitar,

The quality is excellent and what fast fingers! I happen to know that Jesse Lee plays great jazz also.

  • Wow!!! And all the different instruments are him!!!

I liked the latin sound on this disc...but mostly I liked the sounds of the different instruments within each song. Then to find out they were all him, I can't help but be impressed!
