notes
Hailing from the Seattle area, Triple Point (a.k.a. 3P) combines elements of old-school industrial dance, coldwave, and goth to create their own brand of 'electronic body rock.' Originally formed back in 1991, vocalist Vico and keyboardist Dan Hinds took their love for bands like Skinny Puppy, FLA, Nitzer Ebb and KMFDM to heart and set out to create their own unique electronic music. After several demos and compilation appearances (most notably on Re-Constriction's TV Terror and Doppler Effect's Resurgence), Triple Point released its first full-length CD in 1999, titled The Soul Den. The album was praised for its originality and diversity and the song "Dreaming Angels" received quite a bit of radio play.
Striving to take 3P to the next level, the duo enlisted the talents of guitarist Tom Wilcox (ex-Assault & Battery) in 2001. His skilled fretwork helped round out the new set of songs which were recorded early 2002 with the aid of Laird Sheldahl (ML/Thine Eyes). In addition, Laura Light was brought in to add her melodious voice to two songs, "Glimpse" and the band's trance-guitar take on Depeche Mode's "It's No Good."
Along with the ten tracks proper, three remixes are included on Sleep in Sodom. "The Dream" is given a much moodier atmosphere thanks to Martin Bowes of the legendary Attrition, and Laird adds his IDM wizardry to "Skiagraphy" and "Broken Hands," giving both songs a whole new feel.
With a set of solid songs ready, 3P plans to take to the stage soon for the first time. Until then, the band will work on material for the next disc.

dun dun dunnnnnnn!
author: Misty!oh snap! This is a lovely cd. I liked it more than the first one because you can hear the vocals better. I especially enjoyed bounce and the dream. The addition of the guitar was nice too.
