  • totally worth the listen
    author: Luke Jensen (Never News)

Between electro, pop, folk, synth-laden melodies, hip-hop, and whatever the hell else might be on here, they cover their grounds. The songs' variety is huged and you can expect something new from every track. Strange, bizarre, tongue-in-cheek weird, this album manages to become a wild journey of time between this duo. Simple funny lyrics and drum-machine driven songs keep this album irreverent and clever. Totally worth the listen.

  • I am incapable of short versions.
author: Jessy with a y, not an ie

ugh. keep it short?!? Ok. I once considered conceiving a child WITH (not to, that's silly) the tenth track on this album. Trike isn't like anything else. This album isn't Indie-Pop catchy (with the exception of the bonus track Stuart Derdyn), nor is it electro - something intoxicating (although that tenth track is nothing short of intoxicating...wouldn't necessarily make a good father though!). And if, like so many others and despite what you may claim on your myspace, you only REALLY want to listen to indie-pop, you'll be missing out! This album is a gem. Every song in it is a gem, even though i don't like one or two (no more than one or two!). I'm not particularly partial to emeralds, so that doesn't mean they're not gems.. But seriously folks. The fellows who wrote these songs are extremely talented. If you buy this album (which you very well should!) you will recieve, among other things, a very polished mix of exciting song that'll make your hips go pow pow, introspective songs that will make you fell like a million dollar hobo (track # I Don't Care Anymore, specifically), emotionally draining songs that will make you want to conceive children, and so on and so on. It's really that good. Plus the opening track is the most effectively awesome opening track for any album i've heard in a long while. Love, Jessy

  • Trike Rules and are great guys
    author: Mandee (Trikes Lover Bitch..lol)

  • "Sweet"
    author: Hilary

Amusing, Clever, Catchy, Refreshing and Original. You can feel the energy Stephen & Wes have coming through the CD. If you ever get a chance to see these guys play live, I highly recommend it.

  • Music that makes you beam.
    author: Caitlin

Trike effortlessly blends wacky humour with fantastic sounds. The lyrics and music are seamless, creating the perfect dance/thought-inspiring album. It is impossible not to be sucked into their world of electropopaltfolkcanadiandutchcrunchcore. The cd is almost as entertaining as seeing them live, but there is nothing like seeing the masters do the Trikey.

  • lyricisms from the best singer songwriters
    author: discorder

They draw rythms from hip hop, textured sounds from IDM and lyricisms from the best singer-songwriters. Taylor's croonings and well-tuned pop sensibility are the glue that holds what might otherwise be a disparate disc.

  • keeps us dancing in the dumps
    author: terence dick (broken pencil)

You get the glitchy, synthesized drum machinery and body popping bass beats (plus some harpsichord and cheeseball early Blancmange Korg settings) along with the sad guy's mordant-yet clever!-lyrics.

  • Trike's Biggest Fan
    author: Catherine

I enjoyed this album very much. The lead singer is very talented. I guess good genes run in his family. The other guy is cool too!

  • trike is sweet
    author: tiffany
