notes

A native of Cambridge, MA, singer Tricia Kelly is a favorite on the New England music circuit entertaining audiences with her upbeat show and critically acclaimed vocal style. She has appeared in various theater and film projects including a role in the play 'Pack of Lies' with Lost In Space star Marta Kristen at the Pacific Palisades Theater in Los Angeles as well as touring with the LA based band Frenzi. Closer to home, she has sung with the New England bands Mo-shun and FM and currently performs as a solo act live and in the studio.

Tricia released her first recording project co-written with producer Lester Goodwine, 'Keep On Movin' (LFP Records) in 2002. With music reminiscent of the great hits of the disco era, this critically acclaimed release has received widespread radio airplay on both broadcast and Internet radio stations. Tricia's music has been called 'upbeat, toe-tapping soul' that makes you 'want to get up and dance' (Tracy Lanouette ) and her song 'Show Me' was a finalist in the Make A Star Contest (www.makeastar.com) holding for three weeks at the top of each round of contest.

Tricia studied at The Boston Conservatory of Music and with vocal coach Jeannie Deva and is herself a trained vocal coach in The Deva Method™. Recent credits include opening for KC and The Sunshine band at The Cape Cod Melody Tent, singing the National Anthem at The Fleet Center in Boston and founding the 'Going going going Gong Show' currently running regularly at Sundancer's on Cape Cod. She continues to perform regionally and nationally in support of her current CD and is back in the studio at the end of the summer to begin work on a follow up release. Look for her on tour in Fall 2003 with her new band and choreography by members of the Boston based "Rainbow Dance Tribe".

  • "I &^%-ing LOVE this cd..."
    author: Soundcheck Magazine (June 2004)

Tricia Kelly "Keep On Movin'" 8-song CD stars: **** Wow! This is so funky! It starts off v. classical sounding- a little twinkly piano but then Tricia busts out with her funky-disco~ish singing and you are just blown away! I am f**** amazed! Tricia rocks her voice is incredibly sexy, harmonic and just plain gorgeous! I have repeated the first track three times at this rate I might get these reviews done for a week! "Keep On Movin'" literally makes you get out of your seat and shake what your mama gave you! I love her style- blending the funky/soulful/sexy vocals with this contemporary, yet funk enhanced backing music. I have yet to find a track that I don't adore- and I did finally make it through the entire CD but here are my "top" picks: "Keep On Movin", "I've Got Me" & "Bad Habit". You owe it to your CD collection to buy this disc! Keep rocking :) *Samantha*

  • Best Dance Music in Years
    author: L.A. Joe

Keep on Movin is one of my favorite CDs to play while driving in my sports car on a sunny California day. It is energetic, uplifting and gets you traveling. Tricia Kelly has a passionate voice and this music is the best dance stuff since Donna Summers.

  • author: Chris Fitzgerald

A refreshingly new blast from the past. Tricia has a gift of integrating the best of two music eras with a distinctively unique style of her own. A phenomenal talent that merits greater exposure and recognition.

  • A voice to die for
    author: John O'Leary (oleary&lalli)

In short, the CD traacks feature a GREAT voice (Tricia's of course) and catchy songs with grooves that don't quit. It will become a permanent resident in your car's CD player.

  • absolutely makes you want to dance, a great range of emotions.
    author: Tracy Lanouette

Keep on movin is a great cd, it makes me want to get up and dance. The original songs show expression and talent. 'I've got me' strikes a chord in anyone who has ever tried to get over someone, and promotes self confidence. Tricia's cover of Barry Manilow's 'How do I stop loving you' is heart plucking, and so emotional, you can feel the pain in her voice. Tricia has a very emotive voice and her talent shines through on this cd. I play it when I feel down, and it brings a smile to my face.

  • A diamond in the no so rough!
    author: Peter M

This is my preferred weekend CD. From dancing on Friday night, crusing Saturday with the top down, to hot chocolare and the Sunday paper, Keep on Movin' is the perfect musical complement your entire weekend of activities. Buy it!

  • Tricia has "IT"! The "IT" that brings goose-bumps!
    author: Bob Thornton

From the first play keep on movin' moved right up there as one of my favorite cd's. Strong beautiful vocals with lively upbeat feel-good lyrics. Can't wait for the next one. Keep on movin and singin.

  • This girl can sing....
    author: Plaid Daddy

I sing around New England on a weekly basis and I heard this girl for the first time singing in a vocal contest. She won that night and I was so blown away by her control & style that I e-mailed her and asked her to do a duet on the follow-up to my own CD. Great talent here. Good luck...Plaid Daddy.

  • Sweet, smooth and groovy!
    author: Noel M.

I have nothing good to say. The CD speaks for itself. Smooth & Groovy tunes that reaches down deep and all. Reminiscent perhaps of times good and better times. Makes you want to dance up a marathon :) all night long! It hits the spot as she gets in the groove past her second wind! Bravo Babe!

  • In a word, Tricia Kelly "Rocks!"
    author: Lee Grant

Super smooth, sensual tunes, paying homage to the best of the 70's. My favorite: "Show Me" a sexy smooth R&B tune from which fans are created. Tricia rocks, and you will hear sincerity in her voice, on every song. Phenominal production value by the studios of LFP Productions-just right. And the vocal blends and backgrounds? Sweet as honey from the hive. Get this CD...

  • The sound of Tricia Kelly's voice goes right to the heart...
    author: Mark Diffendal

The sound of Tricia Kelly's voice goes right to the heart. It has a texture that stays with you. She brings a sparkling touch to the Pop/Rock genre, and it is evident in the title song "Keep On Movin'" from her new CD release. eSoundz also gives special attention to "I've Got Me," an upbeat melody that captures you immediately. Tricia Kelly does lead vocals and backups (and the intro keyboard on title song Keep On Movin'.) eSoundz rates Tricia "up and coming."
