Tribal Machine has just released their 12-song album "Soldiers in a War of the Mind". Backed by a loyal online following and a strong live show, the band is ready to take the scene by storm.

Tribal Machine, led by front man Sever Bronny, has been making music since 1997. Guitarist Brian "Meta" Hartlen joined the band in 2003, followed by bassist Brad Wutke in 2004 and drummer Kenn Pretty in 2006. In September of 2005 Tribal Machine launched their extremely successful myspace site, which has received over 40 000 plays in less than seven months.

“Soldiers in a War of the Mind” explores the dichotomy between life and the way it’s represented in the mass media. As Sever puts it; “The title for this album was taken from a song I wrote some years ago. I wanted to reflect themes that I saw on the news and read in books. I’ve noticed that the things we were fed did not necessarily reflect what was really going on, what the people really needed to know, and that pissed me off. I wanted to write about it, expand on it, explore it; but I also wanted to explore things about human nature, things like relationships, drugs, manipulation, and the discovery of something greater.”

With influences like Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd, The Doors, and Dead Can Dance, Tribal Machine takes its sound from the framework of a traditional industrial band and infuses it with elements of classic rock, European folk, and a dash of Middle-Eastern chant. From the opening salvo of “When the Walls Start to Slide” through the dark romance of “Pheromone” to the meditative end of “A Moment”, “Soldiers in a War of the Mind” is unique and uncompromising in its approach to industrial-rock.

    I doubt I could find the words to truly describe how much I'm loving this album... so at the risk of understating things I'll put it simply, IT KICKS ASS. Black Fly is probably one of my favorite songs right now and its constantly playing in my head (in the few times of the day that its not actually playing anyways), though I don't think theres a single song on the album that I don't love. Can't wait to see them perform this stuff live.

    All around it is fucking excellent. Great vocals,lyrics, and music. It's a sound you don't get to hear on the main stream rock channels and thats a shame. The lyrics are unique and can take one away into something that must be some version of Sever's world.

    Once again, I can't rave enough about this cd. What I love the most about Sever's music is that he has the skills to send powerful messages that are backed up by tremendous beats and sounds of his music style.     Combining various differing influences into a sound that defies categorisation, Tribal Machine deserve to make it big and earn themselves a huge following. This album's fusing of industrial technology with more traditional songwriting creates one of the most original sounds I have heard in a while, guaranteeing it will be spinning in my CD player on repeat for quite some time.

    When i first listen to TM on MySpace i thought the music was great, it wasn't until i bought and listen to the CD Soilder in a War of the Mind that I really got the full impact on how great the music really is. Its hard to just listen to one song, i have to listen to the whole CD, kind of like reading a book, its not over till its over. I cant wait til i get there frist CD Animals. If you want some original great music TM, is just that. And like me, you will listen to the CD from Start to End.

    I'm the proud owner of this album and I've never been this into an indie band. Usually the flair fades. But with Soldiers in a War of the Mind I'm truly struck. I've had it for about 3 weeks and haven't taken it out of my player yet. It's definitely my preferred style of writing, with a twist. I absolutely love it. "When the Walls Start to Slide" really hit me. It's a very visual song. "Oversold the World" is so so true. I could go on about each song - but that would turn into a novel. All in all, every song brings something new to the table and I can't wait to hear what they have planned next. You're truly missing out if you don't own this CD. So order it up!

The sound of the album is just so amazing, and as is very important to me.     I waited a long time until I hold this album in my hands, and I can say with determination that it exceeded my expectations. The music shows many heights and depths, and together with extremely well reasoned lyrics it forms a living work of art. Each song is divided into several parts. So each song revives again and brings tension and attraction. The music itself could be compared with the music of bands, such as Nine Inch Nails, John Foxx, Skinny Puppy as well as The Doors.

    I love this album, a lot of talent went into this. My favorite song Black Fly, which is track number 4, actually sounds better on the album than the MySpace version. I think this is a 5 star album, very awesome for a 1st Record!
