Singing since birth, Tara Hofmann has been performing in the DC Metro area for kids and adults most of her life. She has (and continues to be) accompanied by some of the best musicians in the DC area, including Tom Lagana, Wade Beach, Larry Brown and others, and at any given performance her “friends” may vary.
Tara holds a BA in music from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and MA in New Professional Studies-Teaching from George Mason University and teaches music in the Fairfax County Public Schools, Virginia.
In 1990, Tara wrote, recorded and produced "Vegetable Blues and Other Tasty Tunes," a children's CD and coloring book set. She has directed children's musical theatre and was president of Cracked Egg Productions, her own production company. She is currently working on her soon to be released jazz CD as well as a new children’s CD.
