Once a Seattle resident, Treva Blomquist is now a Nashville local and has quickly risen to the top of an endless pool of talent that inundates the music city. Treva’s ability to seamlessly weave a tapestry of folk and soul, dye it indigo blue, and adorn it with the occasional sparkling sequin of pop has earned her considerable recognition among artists and critics alike. Her songwriting is rock solid and mature, often earning favorable comparisons to Patty Griffin and Mindy Smith, with the exception that Blomquist is more versatile than either of the aforementioned tunesmiths. Treva is comfortable and compelling performing as a solo act, in front of a small string section, or shaking the walls of any rock venue in town with her band, The Suits.

Although Treva’s brilliant songwriting and impressive guitar chops distinguish her from other artists in her genre, it is her voice that places her in a league of her own. Blomquist’s range is wide and her timbre is as focused and as pure as a trumpet, and just as powerful. But it is the integrity and authenticity embedded within her lyrics, and the passion and soul conveyed through her voice that are truly the most inspiring. Treva posses a rare talent that is often sought after but rarely obtained.

I play her on my radio show, HOT On Main, on WMTS 88.3 in Murfreesboro, TN on MTSU campus with great response from my listeners. Its a very enjoyable and well produced ablum. Keep up the great work.

    I saw Treva for the first time about a year ago and was amazed. At that show I was thinking, "I need to buy her album." Sadly she only had a 3 or 4 track demo at the time but the album is finally here. Every song captures your attention and makes you want to hit that repeat button.

    Singer/Songwriter Treva Blomquist isn't trying to change the world, instead the 36 minutes of her debut CD are quite the opposite. Ten gentle rainy day love ballads, beautiful in simplicity and telling in their honesty. Blomquist envokes the likes of Jewel and Patty Griffin as she combines dreamy acoustic guitar melodies and soulful vocals behind sugary songwriting.     Audio tape that is. Treva Blomquist is one of the most beautifully gifted vocalists I have ever come in contact with. The quality and tone of her voice is flawless. She effortlessly balances emotional sweetness and blues-tinged soul into a unique blend that is all her own. This album is an intimate look into Treva's personal brand of songwriting, putting the listener in the headspace of a living room session or a quiet coffee house gig. The lyrical content speaks of feeling overlooked, longing for direction, and the hope of finding true love. Through it all, there is a quiet acceptance that everything will be and is already fine. From the pensive reflection of "I Wish" to the funky soul of "What's a Girl to Do", the album keeps the listener's attention through sheer musicianship and passion. Can a recording fix anything for the listener? Maybe not, but I guarantee that if you give this album a listen, it will brighten your day and maybe even a small part of your life.

    Treva Blomquist has been playing around the murfreesboro/Nashville area for a few years now and with every performance i see a passion that you won't find with many performers. And with this cd you hear passion in every song. and whats great is that its not over produced or made into something its not. With a bare bones instrumentation and "raw=analog" feel, this is a cd to put on if you want to truly enjoy some great, relaxing music. There are some upbeat songs but most are mid tempo songs that drain your soul of every last emotion then fills it up again. GET THIS CD!!! YOU ARE LOOKING AT A FUTURE STAR!!!!
