notes
Singer Songwriter Travis Meadows writes about life the only the way he knows it, a bittersweet well of love, irony, anger, pain, healing and happiness. They are the kind of honest songs that reach beyond perfect words and chords to reveal the reality of what life is really like. Through the artistry of his poetic lyrics, he balances good with bad and love with pain.
Well-known among songwriter's circles in Nashville, Travis is an unforgettable performer whose well crafted songs and raw vocal ability have won him the attention of fans in some of Nashville’s more popular live venues. In part, it was his commanding performances that landed him a coveted songwriting contract with Universal Music Publishing Group in 2005, who invited him to join their celebrated list of songwriters, some of the best in the world. Having already received numerous accolades for his songwriting, including a 2001 ASCAP award and eight Top 20 hit singles in the Christian market, joining with Universal was a natural progression.
Growing up in Mississippi, Travis laid the foundation for his music career while making the rounds at local bars and clubs, performing with legendary blue's players such as Sam Myers (Anson Funderburg and the Rockets) and Fingers Taylor (Jimmy Buffett). His music has taken him around the world, where he has performed before millions in over twenty countries. Additionally, he has recorded five independent projects gaining him loyal fans everywhere.
Travis celebrated his first #1 song when Australian artist Adam Brand took his song "Open Ended Heartache" to the top of the charts.

My Life 101
author: CynthiaThe entire CD is awesome. Such talent! Travis reminds me of a cross between John Hiatt and Bob Dylan. My favorite song is "Black" but I love the entire CD. It's my new favorite CD to listen to. I am trying to get it into the music store I work at to sell. We played it for a day and generated a lot of interest. Cynthia
Love it! Everybody Should Own a Copy!
author: CindyUndeniably one of my favorite CD's in my collection. There is a song that reflects many different moods. Lyrically above anything I can put my finger on. Travis Meadows shows how stories should be told. Ending the CD with his personal version of "Amazing Grace" moved me beyond words. I would certainly encourage, and have encouraged many people to purchase this CD! BRAVO!

author: DiTravis Meadows is a unique voice and talent with a style that is a little bluegrass, a little country, a little gospel, with a hint of Bruce Springsteen--though Travis is definitely in a league of his own. Perhaps he's invented a new genre altogether for us with this CD. The lyrics truly reflect a depth of personal growth and experience--each song contains a well delivered story about life that is refreshing and new though tried and true. The CD offers a variety of songs ranging from upbeat and lively to tender and moving. While some CDs offer one or two songs you may want to hear more than once--you will want to revisit every song on 'My Life 101' again and again--each one stands alone as a hit!! Keep up with this artist--he is destined to go places!!
Top notch songwriting with a raw Rock/Country overall sound.
author: Seth TalleyPhenomenal album! A great listen all the way through. There is not one song that I don’t absolutely love. The overall attitude and lyrical contents contain life lessons we can all learn from. Emotions were captured perfectly. The players had to be some of the best in Nashville I’ve ever heard. I loved the stripped down version of Amazing Grace. It captures the rawness of Travis’ voice and harp playing. Huge acoustic guitar sound also…
