Widescreen soundscape of an African journey
‘Balad djemil’ means ‘beautiful country’ in Arabic as it is spoken in Sudan.
Travel memories turned into music. The music ‘audiolises’ a travelogue of experiences from month-long journeys through Sudan, Africa's largest country. On foot as well as on the roof of trains, on top of trucks and on river steamers.
Support for projects in Sudan:
By purchasing this CD you support Médecins Sans Frontières’ work in the crisis-stricken areas of Darfur in Sudan with seven US dollars (five euros). Follow the project on: www.mildrecords.com/msf
