The wonder that is Stereolab was introduced to me sometime in 1997 while working in a Miami music store. Dots and Loops delivered me into a lush tropical landscape of sultry sounds layered with tweaks, blips and blops. At times, as one reviews their vast body of work, you feel caught between a submarine and an AM radio. In modern popular music, there is no "groop" which can compare to the complex compositions which they have created. The broad scope of their vision will forever be a dramatic influence to other artists. Each remake on this album is certainly a reflection of how inspirational Stereolab is and continues to be.
