    When I first purchased this CD, I played it over and over again-stopped to eat and use the rest room and played it again. ReFixx got me right together and I thank you.

    Personnally, this is my favorite cd from this talented artist, Tori Fixx. Not only has he "re-mixed" my favorite tunes from his earlier album, "Mochasutra", but he has added an additional track that reflects my heart. This collection features "Good Thang" (club mixx) and "just 1 Mo' nite" (dj naughty boyy dub) from "Mochasutra" but also introduced Tori's new single, "take care of u." This single refers to providing care to someone living with HIV. This cut forces us to confront and deal with reality and life. It directs us all "home." I applaud and congratulate Tori Fixx on his reinforcement of the measures to prevent the spread of HIV and other STD's within our community. I also congratulate him on his sense of responsibility and compassion to his people. Tori Fixx, your love and respect for humanity is appreciated.

    "ReFixx" is on point. This remix project serves as the perfect compliment to 2000's groundbreaker "The Mochasutra." The vibe of ReFixx is geared "for the clubs." It just makes you want to get up and dance. The grooves on this album are hard, funky and delectable. Bangin' beats and clever word play are the rule of the day in the this stellar collection. Each tune is a stand out. There are two original tracks, the first, "Take Care Of U" (which is worth the price of admission alone) with its banged out Stardust-beat is a social commentary with funk. It's the perfect anthem addressing the sickness caused by the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the straight and gay communities, bridging the gap and bringing two often sparing groups together -- a moment like that is rare in music (especially in hip hop). "If We Gone Drug" is laid back Porno-Funk perfect for the cars, the club or the crib.Two mixes of "Good Thang" are offered: the Club Mixx is a dance banger and is sure to tear up clubs nationwide, the alternative mixx is more mellow and features a clever interpolation of Vertical Horizon's "Everything You Want" laced over a tight lyrical flow. "Just 1 Mo' Nite (DJ Naughty Boyy Dub)" is electronic ecstasy crystallized on a compact disc. Tori Fixx doesn't disappoint with this CD and continues to break musical ground and only grows as an artist with each passing year. If this only a remix collection, imagine what's in store with his upcoming sophomore album! Very recommended.
