notes
Tom was born in Norwalk, Connecticut but has lived in California and Maryland, eventually finding his way back to Connecticut where he lives with his wife, Sue, and their four dogs, Buster, Bettie, Buffy, and Bubba. Tom has always loved music, and played the trumpet as a child. It wasn't until Tom picked up a guitar in college that he found his true calling - music.
Tom has over fifteen years experience in early-childhood education. He began his career as an aide while he was still in high school. Tom progressed from aide to head teacher to music specialist, and is now performing his music full-time.
In addition to performing with his band, the Tic-Tac-Toes at concerts and larger venues, Tom visits many schools, libraries, festivals, and camps on a regular basis. Tom's repertoire includes original songs that he has written with his wife, Sue, an eigth-grade math teacher, as well as traditional favorites.
Tom's music is very interactive and is intended to get children moving, singing, laughing, dancing, and having lots of good old-fashioned fun!
Parents say that Tom's music is never saccharine or preachy. While kids love to listen to Tom sing about his dirty room or about creatures under the sea, their parents love to listen to music that does not talk down to their kids (or to them)! One parent told Tom, "your music is the only kids' music that I don't get sick of hearing over and over again!"
Tom's first release, "I Like Being a Kid" won a Parents' Choice award in 2000, and his latest release, "Moving Along" received a Parents' Choice Award in early 2003. "Moving Along" is also being considered for a NAPPA (National Parenting Publications) Award.
Tom Weber has been featured on television and in numerous newspapers and magazines, including Parenting Magazines List of Great New Kids' Music. Below are just some of the reviews Tom has received:
From Parents' Choice-
...his sunny voice and well-integrated silly bits invite listeners to play and sing along.

From Nashville Parent-
My kids and I love listening to music while tooling around in the car together, and when we first heard Tom Weber's cut of "Five Little Monkeys," we shared lots of laughs, too. He pretends to be the mischievous chimps making fun of the alligator in sneering nah-nah-nah-nah-nah fashion until snap! The alligator chomps them down one by one. This playfulness is found throughout Weber's award-winning album where first-rate musicality abounds in original songs like
"Say My Letters," "Sunny Days" and "Coloring Book." If you're looking for children's music that's fun, appealing and new, lend your ears to Tom Weber's "I Like Being A Kid."

This CD is excellent. My whole family, as well as all of the children who come to my family day care sing these songs constantly. This is not your typical syrupy sweet kids CD. It is fun, catchy and enjoyable, even to mom and dad.
Reviewer: from Stamford, CT-
My family was introduced to the music of Tom Weber because he performs at my daughters pre-school on a monthly basis. I bought the CD because my daughter LOVES Mr. Tom and was pleasantly surprised. We all love this CD. I catch the whole family singing the songs . I also own my own day care center and all of the parents and kids love this CD, too. Definitely not your average syrupy sweet children's CD. Fun and enjoyable!

Awesome refreshing and fun!
author: LynneHe is hilarious and the kids can understand the lyrics, learn them and sing along in no time. My kids call him the "funny guy" they don't know him as Tom Weber. We have seen him live several times and his cd's are just as great as the live versions. If you get a chance you should catch one of his shows. He is original and engaging for all ages.
Great Old Fashion Fun!
author: AnnaMy kids love this CD. Every song is so silly and fun! They really love to listen to the words and try to sing them. My 3 1/2 year old doesn't jump around with music but he really loves these songs and it seems to make him move! We want to get the other CD too.
Finally... a kids CD that I don't mind listening to!!!!
author: ElainaThis CD completes our Tom Weber collection! The songs are silly and my kids and I can't help but sing along. As soon as we get in the car, I hear a trio of "we want to hear the new Tom Weber CD!!!" (My daughter is singing the shape song next to me right now) Thanks!
Tom Weber knows his audience and is very entertaining
author: SarahThis CD is very very kid-friendly. It was an instant success for my 3 and 4 year olds as soon as I put it on. You can tell that Tom Weber loves what he does, it comes through in his music. Fun, happy, and silly would best describe the music, and perhaps the man himself.
