Shaw performs his style of ambient music live at Moravian in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for a fund raiser and a new double disc album recording. Very soothing and peaceful.

notes

Tom has been playing ambient music since the mid 80's. This is a technique that Brian Eno invented using tape loops in the late 70's. Also Robert Fripp of "King Crimson" used this technique and called it "Frippertronics".

Tom uses digital loops not tape. The great thing about this music is that it is free form and is total improvisation. Although Tom is known as a rocker in the N.Y., N.J. & Pa. area, ambient music is closest to Tom's heart, being a long time practitioner of Yoga and meditation.

"Galactic Gala" was recorded live at a fund raiser dinner at Moravian in Bethlehem, Pa. on 3/31/2007. The fund raiser was called "Galactic Gala" with the theme Space, the whole school was decorated in that theme. While dinner was being served (two bars too) and later auctions went on as Tom Shaw performed all these songs. It was Good!
