notes
Manifesting the broad range of human emotions into a musical form is never an easy task, but it is something that Phoenix, Arizona's Tolerance does every day. Combining forceful and powerful guitars, pummeling rhythms, otherworldly noises, and vocals ranging from melodic and quiet to angry and loud, the music of Tolerance is the epitome of power, beauty, and originality. Impossible to pigeonhole and unable to be ignored, Tolerance has spent the last three and a half years building a huge buzz and becoming not only the "Best Arizona Modern/Hard Rock Band" (New Times Magazine) and #1 selling Arizona artist (Zia Records), but also one of the most talked-about young bands in the southwest.
Comprised of vocalist/guitarist Cory Spotts, bassist Nathan Nash, guitarist Mark Buzard, and drummer/vocalist Atom Boyd, Tolerance has performed with countless major artists, including Sevendust, Jimmy Eat World, Incubus, Ours, Far, Blink 182, Primus, System of a Down, Pennywise, Boy Hits Car, Fenix TX, Simon Says, Suicidal Tendencies, and others, and has earned them slots at Van's Warped Tour and KEDJ/The Edge's That Damn Show. The band was asked by KEDJ to record tracks on KEDJ's "Best of Locals Only" compilation (for the last two years), as well as KZON's Top Local Artist's compilation (in which their new single "Fade" was released to represent the disc in regional Wherehouse Music stores), and has won the title of "Best Modern/Hard Rock Band" in the Phoenix New Times Music Awards Showcase.
Tolerance has recently completed their third album, titled "Faster Crashes Harder," a CD that takes them to the next level both musically and emotionally, and is not an experience to be missed. "Faster Crashes Harder" hit the streets on April 16th, 2002. For more info, pics, sound clips, etc. be sure to check out www.myspace.com/toleranceaz.

Great band - slightly let down here by material
author: MileHighPeteTolerance are a top class band, with a clean, powerful sound and a good singer. Compared to their earlier CD 'Earth in Real Audio', this one is more rocky and less melodic. To my ears, the songs are weaker, slightly contrived-feeling in places, and as a whole it is slightly less satisfying. Still a very talented band and a fine CD. Just, to me, lacking that indefinable something that made 'Earth in Real Audio' so great.
You won't be disappointed
author: JoelI heard about this band from a guy I met in Gibbon, MN. I am originally from AZ and can't wait to get home to see these guys because their music is fantastic. I love the cd and you will too!

This CD is worth your money! Buy it and you will not be disappointed!!
author: Mark ChristensenI have been following Tolerance for 4 years now. This CD is the best they have recorded. You will not be disappointed with the great lryics, heavy guitars, and impressive drums from the best Arizona band. Catch the music before Tolerance breaks through to become the next biggest world-wide new band.
impressive
author: peter reimeThis album has some catchy melodies and excellent production - the almost orchestral tracks have an incredebly broad soundstage and really purvey the energy in this album. I am not normally a fan of tempo changes in songs, but here they work brilliantly. everybody I have played this album to has been hooked. This is the best album I have purchased this year!
Stumbled upon greatness
author: ReaganI stumbled across this band when I was browsing... and listened to a couple tracks.... two words for you, the person reading this... BUY IT! It's a-frickin-mazing... get it! That is all.
Watch Out
author: Dancing OpheliaCompelling effort from this group of young-but-able musicians; I do believe they're going somewhere if they keep up at this rate! This CD is something you want to listen to, definitely.
This CD is GOD-awesome
author: Morgan BrownThis CD will totally blow you away. You think the bands they play on mainstream radio are great.... this CD eclipses even the best songs on the radio. It's heavy but extremely melodic at the same time, and just.. well.. perfect!
