The long awaited solo CD of Kauai resident, Paul Togioko, is finally a reality. "Kiho‘alu Inn" is a package of songs that will surely delight slack key guitar fans everywhere. Paul, who released 2 previous CD's that garnered the Hawaii Music Instrumental award with his band Ohana O Kaua‘i, is showcased front and center with this new release. Considered one of Kaua‘i's premier slack key guitarists, Paul displays his artistry and skill on some classic Hawaiian numbers and other island favorites. Paul's velvety touch on Hawaiian Style Band's "Love & Honesty" and Doyle Dyke's upbeat "Zacheus" is a testament to Paul's sensitive and exciting interpretation of two great songs. "Kiho‘alu Inn" also showcases Paul, the composer, with two originals that testify to Paul's creativity and solid guitar skills called "Hokulei" and "Up Country." In all, this CD offers 15 great songs including island favorite "Ku‘u Home O Kahalu‘u" and the Japanese classic "Sukiyaki."
