Dramatic, humorous readings of three great short stories interspersed with lovely guitar and violin duets

notes

Todd's other beguiling story CDs are I REMEMBER YOU, with cello interludes by Marcia Sloane, and BUDDHA IN A TEACUP tales of enlightenment. Both are available from CD Baby.

I STEAL MY BICYCLE features three of Todd's most requested short stories. I Steal My Bicycle is a poignant narrative told by a man whose search for his stolen bicycle turns into a fascinating journey of self-healing and forgiveness. The Dreidel In Rudolph's Manger is a hilarious tale of the clash and harmony of Christmas and Hanukkah. And Of Water and Melons is a classic parable of hope and love set during the Great Depression.

Todd has published five highly acclaimed novels, among them Inside Moves which was made into a motion picture of the same name. He is also the author of The Writer's Path and Open Body: Creating Your Own Yoga. And he has just published a beautiful case bound edition of BUDDHA IN A TEACUP—forty-two contemporary dharma stories.

Todd Walton writes such believeable characters, you just love them all, even the unloveables! He is a mesmerizing writer and everyone ought to get this spoken word CD with some of his music AND buy all his novels. I'm a new fan and will continue looking for more of his work!

  • Todd Walton is an incredible writer. Three great short stories.
    author: Bobo Lavorgna

When I ordered this CD I had never heard Todd Walton's music or any of his short stories. What I heard blew me away. I had a 1 hour drive and almost missed my turn off. Each story is more amazing than the one before. Walton’s use of imagery put me into each story as an observer and made me feel the same laughter, insanity, intense joy and despair the characters were feeling. The songs are beautiful and are a welcome interlude between stories. I feel like I’ve uncovered a hidden treasure chest. I recommend this CD!
