notes
Todd Cecil refers to his style of playing as slide 'collage' guitar. It has been described as 'Led Zeppelin meets John Prine', dynamic songwriting with a rock Celtic drive.
Creating an original sound with foundations in Bluegrass, Rock, Indian, and Celtic,
Todd's unique guitar tuning and slide technique have combined these genres naturally.
Being a published poet, the lyrics are of vital importance and could stand alone as poems themselves. When asked about his philosophy on his songwriting, Todd continually works to write "stand alone lines worthy of a wall".
On stage Todd is as fiery as his recordings. Whether performing with a bassist and drummer, or percussionist, or solo, his acoustic sound is as large and full as any electric band. For the last five years Todd has been honing his art on stages
in the United States and Europe.
A North Carolina south paw, recently heeding a Nashville call, Todd moved to
Tennessee to finish recording and producing this initial CD project "Collecting the South In Amy"-----enjoy!!!!.

A beautiful blend of strings tied to thought provoking poems in song.
author: Trei HobbsThis cd is captivating in the sense that the artist allows you to sit with him in his studio, while he shares his stories and sensibility of people, places and time. Listen to a multitude of instruments that speak well with each other. If you enjoy acoustic, electric folk music from musicians, who understand their instruments then pick it up and you won't be disappointed.
