I guess the only thing that I can add is that it's gotten permanently stuck in my consciousness.. I heard the Shimshai chanting "Shakti Kundalini" hundreds of times last night in my sleep last night. These chants have been atmospheric for my inner self.

author: MiriamI'm extremely glad I bought this album. The male & female vocals blend complementarily, evoking vibrations of elation in my spirit! Though the chants originate from ages past, this music has an appealing modern vibe that a hip 33 year old city chic can TOTALY relate to. The compelx instrumentation contributes to each track offering something different from the last - and it's ALL GOOD. I especially groove with Track 5, Om Mata. I can never sit still as the song progresses! But what charges me most is the hair-raising crystal purity of Tina Malia's angel-on-Earth voice. Thank you for sharing your talent.

You won't be able to turn CD off
author: BobFrom the meditative, stirring "Gayatri Mantra" and "Jaya Bhagavan" to the upbeat and perky "Hey Amba" to the slightly reggaesque "Om Mata", this cd has a something for every mood. Since I got it a week ago, I have listened to it almost nonstop. I find myself singing several of the melodies when I am not actually listening to the cd itself. Tina Malia carries the melody with a smooth angelic voice. Shimshai adds an earthy windy tone with his. Beautiful and sometimes complex instrumentation throughout.
