notes

'The beautifully sculptured melodies within are, simply put, just great! They have succeeded the rare feat of combining musical competence, and talented songwriting without the mistake of technical overkill. I applaud Timescape for its continuing tradition in writing phenomenal songs. This debut will live long.' - (Artifact Metal Zine, Issue 7 Review by Jason Goh)

'Timescape is more than a prog metal band. Their influences & musical level & abilities are larger than the metal scene in general. Their incredible musicianship & technical level defines Timescape as one of the future BIG progressive bands that have appeared these past few years. Timescape sound unique, because of the richness of their musical spirit.' - (The Underground Metal Bands Page Laurent Boucquet)

'The diverse influences are complemented by great songwriting, superb arrangements, and instrumental virtuosity. All of this technicality is used to create some tremendous melodies and surprisingly accessible music. The band has a knack for making some very memorable melodic metal, which will keep you captivated, listen after listen. Superb debut.' - (Most Extensive List of Progressive Metal Eric Welty)

'I gave it a few more listens, and this CD hit me like a ton of bricks. It's not the kind of over-the-top, self-indulgence that is easily recognized. It's MUCH more cerebral. The complexity of the music almost escapes you, much the way I didn't really understand Queensryche's Operation: Mindcrime for almost a year. This band is da BOMB! I would HIGHLY recommend this CD. Its changing beats, driving rhythms and use of some interesting effects are very refreshing compared to most of today's music. This, IMHO, is an effort which will sound as good in 10 years as it does today. Definitely something which will stand the test of time.' - (Xanadu Records John DiBella - President)

'Timescape are explorers on the vast musical continents, and as such, not afraid to experiment. Excelling in musicianship they have done an album that is drenched with eclecticism, diversity and fantasy!' - (Gallery of sin Christian Ludvigsson)

'You can't really expect a debut album to be perfect, but this is close.' - (Prog-Reviews Mailing List By: Greger Rönnqvist.)

Wonderful musicianship and great vocals. Blended together for a better than average CD.

  • Great cd, one of my favorite progressive cds

This is an amazing cd! I have never heard progressive rock/metal this good! If you are a fan of melodic heavy music, you need this in your collection. The cover is kind of crappy, but it doesn't mean that the music is!
