Ike Moses, aka. “Thunderhawk”, a name given by a Shaman at age 19, is a descendent of the Creek and Choctaw Tribes. Raised in a traditional Native American family, he traveled the “pow-wow” circuit and to schools throughout Nevada with his family teaching others about their culture. Throughout his childhood, Ike was exposed to many woodwind instruments, eventually finding his talent in the Native American Flute.

Using the flute as an instrument of healing, “Thunderhawk” performed at a wedding reception in front of over 200 people. This first non-traditional performance led Ike, through a series of ‘friends of friends’ contacts, where he eventually met Travis A. Orcutt, the now President of Glass Ceiling Music. At Ike’s request, Travis personally produced and engineered a project that was simply designed as a gift to Ike’s mother. Upon completion of the CD, Travis convinced Ike to look into a career as a performing artist with a re-recorded commercial quality CD available for sale to the public. This resulted in the creation of Thunderhawk “First Flight”.

Thunderhawk “First Flight” has proven to sell itself. With a small variety of artists in this genre, there is very little competition, and the quality of “First Flight” is hard to beat. The store manager at a national retailer here in Puyallup Washington has stated, “Your disc has sold more copies than any other disc in its genre, and it has even sold more than some of our major mainstream artists.” In LESS than 6 months Thunderhawk “First Flight” sold 26 discs off the shelf with ZERO promotion, not even a poster anywhere in this store. This was only one store; another smaller retailer reported selling 20 copies in just 2 months by simply placing the disc at the checkout counter. With several in store performances by Thunderhawk, 35 DISCS were sold in just 45 DAYS at another small retailer. Fitting into multiple genres such as Native American, New Age, World, Meditation, Relaxation, and Instrumental, Thunderhawk “First Flight” sells itself.

The magic of Thunderhawk performing live is an experience never soon forgotten. As Thunderhawk produces enchanting melodies with this ancient native instrument, the crowd often finds themselves drifting into a different realm. Giving seminars and performing at schools, community and cultural events, wedding blessings, fairs, festivals, and private gatherings is where Thunderhawk is most at home.

Ike “Thunderhawk” Moses is well known throughout Western Washington and Oregon, his career is on the rise. The healing energy of his music and power behind it continue to drive him to reach the next milestone.
