This Side of Eve is a five-piece band from Pittsburgh, whose original music is influenced by rock, folk, and alt-country. Acoustic and electric guitars drive the band's rich, warm sound, but Alyssa Creasy's lead vocals, pure, bold and intimate, are TSE's centerpiece. TSE's songs have as central themes hope, faith, loss and longing. Formed by Alyssa and John Creasy (guitar) in 1999, TSE's current line up is rounded out by Ian White (drums), Chris Hilf (bass) and Bill Adams (guitar, mandolin, harmonica, vocals).

TSE released their debut album Aching from Wanting More in June of 2003 and began reaping the benefits immediately. Pittsburgh's 91.3 WYEP has given the record's first single, Give, substantial airplay, and rated the band's CD as one of the top 10 releases by local artists in 2003. TSE's live, in-studio performance of Home appears on WYEP's Live and Direct, Vol. IV CD, which was released in late April 2004. The studio version of Home is now available on online at I-tunes and other online distributors. On the CD, TSE takes its place alongside such regionally and nationally acclaimed artists as The Clarks, Bill Deasy, New Invisible Joy, and Soda Jerk. The album has also been included on Pittsburgh's Netradio for steady online airplay. The next release is scheduled for October 2005, three songs from the upcoming release are available here for a limited time.

Of the three songs included in this online-only E.P. is All Over Again, a current crowd favorite. All Over Again features Bill Adams on lead vocals, Alyssa on harmony vocals and Tony Matz of the Pittsburgh band Tangerine on bass vocals. Tony's vocal creativity gives All Over Again a unique sound that will make you want to listen over and over again.

Home has been one of TSE's crowd silencing mellow tunes for about two years now. The song was written just after the Aching From Wanting More was released, in fact John and Alyssa debuted the album at the last CD release party. Since then the band has added a beautiful blend of classic country instruments to make this one of the best singles on the album.

Don't Cry, features Alyssa on vocals and Bill on guitar. Bill's 12 string Richenbacher blazed through on this song giving it a jangly, but beautiful stereo effect. Don't Cry will undoubtedly be one of the catchy radio favorites off the new album.

Enjoy this prerelease and don't forget to check back for the whole album in October!

Press Quotes and Facts -

"The cd is quite impressive, it was something that grabbed my attention
and ear today. Congrats on a well produced and crafted cd."
- Kyle Smith, Morning Music Host and Local Music Contact, 91.3 fm WYEP

"This Side of Eve seems to have a firm comprehension of pop-rock songwriting, but also a foundation in acoustic music that offers depth and cohesion. While a song such as "I Can't Get You" could successfully chart WYEP, other tunes might be more welcome on back porches and in summer park strumming. Aching from Wanting More, testifies to the band's songwriting dedication, but isn't the complete story. Rather, it's the first chapter in what's likely to become a welcome addition to Pittsburgh's musical library."
- Justin Hopper, The Pittsburgh City Paper

"Bill Adams' alt-Springsteen "Refinery" takes a firmly Pittsburgh, blue-collar stance, and reaps rewards for it."
- Justin Hopper, The Pittsburgh City Paper

Ranked as one of the top 10 bands of 2003 in the Pittsburgh area by 91.3 fm WYEP in their annual year-end review.
