notes
The Midas Touch have truly begun to carve a niche for themselves in the pop punk saturated San Diego scene with their brand of modern edged, yet classically rich metal. The band emerged from Escondido, California in the summer of 2002, and right from the start, people took notice of the power they brought to the stage. Their show, from the tight musicianship and energetic execution of the tunes, to the guitar duels and falsetto screams, has dazzled eyes and ears, and has received great response from crowds across the Southwest. Despite the band's relatively young age, first time viewers are always surprised by an incredibly talented group of musicians.
Beginning in the spring of 2005, The Midas Touch began to take further steps to establish themselves as a prominent act in the local metal scene. They appeared on major San Diego radio shows including ROCK 105.3's Another State of Mind, and STAR (Now JACK) 100.7's Jeff and Jer show. They have continued to improve on their already great live show playing at several notable venues including SOMA, The Jumping Turtle, and Hard Rock Cafe's in Phoenix and Salt Lake City. All of this while working on their debut album "Alone In The Light", available now. Throughout 2007, The Midas Touch will advance their recognition to the regional level with repeat trips to Orange County, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona, while continuing to heavily expose the online community to their music. The bands intentions are to show the world once again, what a great concert should be, and to re ignite the sound of heavy metal.
