"The Charms ARE the best band in the USA right now. Great songs with clever lyrics. Talented musicians. Superb production. Hot babes. My only regret is that my 20 year old daughter loves them too, and she's constantly borrowing my 2 Charms cd's and taking them with her to college in Pennsylvania so I can't listen to them, the little bastard!!"

TOT AWS!
author: JOHNThis CD is TOT AWS! (Totally Awesome!). I caught The Charms in-store performance at Record Archive in Rochester, NY as I was browsing through their used CD's. I didn't even know there was a live band there (I thought the music was coming from a stereo) and then lo and behold, there they were in the back of the store! I thought the drummer was really cool! They were great, so I ordered this CD an it ROCKS! I love every song!
Bit By The Charm Bug.
author: GusI saw The Charms in April in Kingston, NY with Blasé Debris and The Wifeys. Great show. The album "Pussycat" is a gem. Songs that stand out: "Life In The Movies", "Dream", "DBID", "Come Back Baby" and "Pussycat." If you like old school Blondie and garage rock with cool organ playing, this album is for you. The cool guitar playing by Joey Wizda brings me back to guitarist Denny Lane from Wings. Live, Joe made that Orange half stack soar with beautiful, solid 70's sounds that I haven't heard around here in a while. Ellie Vee sings with a style all her own and definitely wins a silver medal for her stage presence.
Album full of pearls!
author: MarkkuI have always thought that absolute pop is like Ramones or Blondie but I guess Charms have overcharmed them!
You have to buy this cd
author: JukkaI first heard The Charms on a radio show here in Finland and the song was Come Back Baby. I had to rush to CD Baby and buy this cd. It is full of catchy pop melodies with attitude.
I like the sound
author: PeterI like the sixty sound on the cd. The gitars: Gibson and Gretsch with the farissa organ and the screaming voice from Ellie Vee. Great Album.
this is what reall rock 'n' roll is all about
author: dougfarfisa organ, great screamin' vocals and lots of hooks. who can ask for more? this is what real rock 'n' roll is all about. pussycat is easily one of the best albums of the year.
This CD ROCKS like nobody's bidniz baby!
author: donny in CalgaryClassic, girl group 60's garage rock sound complete with farfisa organ and way crunchin' guitar riffs. Every song is strong... no ballads or filler here. When Ellie Vee comes in full-on SCREAMING her brains out after the guitar solo in "DBID" it is positively phenomenal... I haven't heard rock this pure and transcendental since the MC5 broke up.
Fantastic Rock n Roll
author: John PowellI think this is my favoirte CD of the year! Really great songs. Great vocals and harmonies, solid rhythm section, the farfisa organ up in the mix and some great guitar - think Andy Scott (Sweet) Mick Ronson (Spiders) and Ariel Bender (Mott) on a good day.
watching ellie rock!
author: ken lawrencewhat do you get when you put crunchy guitar, farfisa organ, and one real good lookin' chick singer, the charms pusycat. that's what. with each cd these folks from boston get better and better. dream takes the cake for me i wouldn't mind dreaming about ellie after that Huh? you've got to love a band that gets a bottle of shampaign on stage and swigs from it while playing as they did at a cd record release show for so pritty. bet that tasted great and so does this rockin' cd. keep rockin' everybody. ken the braille encyclopedia of rock n' roll said so.
The charms hit stride
author: jerrygDefinitely my cd of the summer for this year. On the first two cd's the band was finding it's legs. The first was a great start and So Pretty was a short glimpse of what was to come. On Pussycat the band really hits stride giving the lighter sound of the first cd a harder guitar edge and Ellie Vee has really found herself as a vocalist. See 'em on their fall tour before they're too big to play your local rock 'n' roll dive.
Cool CD!!!!
author: Michael LaughlinThis is a very cool CD! The Charms definitely draw a lot from classic 60s garage rock nuggets. Elle has an incredible voice that sounds both tough and sexy, in the grand tradition of Nancy Sinatra. I especially like the song "Dream." Mike

I wrote a review yesterday, was listening to Pussycat today and realized that I was unfair in my review. The guitars seem pretty pumped already. Let me say though, that the remixes of Gimme That Shot, etc sound a bit looser and I like that. The guitars seem a little more up-front.

I saw the Charms in Boston with Visqueen. They were great in concert. This cd is really good. I wish the guitars were cranked up a lot more though. The Charms kick ass live and I'd like to hear a little more of that loose glam in the recorded stuff........ my two cents for what it's worth. rob
Great Third Album
author: AnnieThis is my third Charms CD (there are only 3). I can't say that this album blows the others away, because it doesn't, but it is still really good. My fave songs are "Action", "Gimme that Shot", "Doll Dreamer", "I Need Your Love" and "Losing my Addiction". If you're a new or old Charms fan, I'd reccomend this album.
