The northeast region of the United States has spawned many great rhythm and blues bands. But, perhaps none are as revered as the legendary Philadelphia-based group, the BUICKS. For over twenty years, these 'masters of the groove' have thrilled audiences with their original songs, their musicianship and the general party atmosphere that seems to be a part of every show.
Captured live, July 28, 2007 at Puck Live in Doylestown, Pa, the band is in great form as it lays down thirteen powerhouse songs that leave no doubt these guys are firing on all six cylinders. Twelve of the thirteen songs are original BUICKS tunes. They span the career of the band as well as introduce five new songs into their, already amazing, repertoire.

Kickass Fun Band!!
author: Rick YoungThese guys are just having the best time of their lives and it comes through in their music. Just caught them again at Puck in Doylestown and bought "Live @ Last". As soon as we left it promptly slid into the cd player for the ride home and it was like we never left Puck. Very well done guys!! We'll be lookin' for you.

author: R. BradleyI've heard about this band for a long time but they never got up my way (Bethlehem Pa). Admittedly, I am not a web surfer so I really didn't know they had cd's out or really where they were playing (of course I know where to get my cds now). Blues is still a lot of word of mouth around here. My friend told me they were doing a show at a club up here called 2nd Story Blues. Well, that show was last night and the band was amazing. I mean it, they are amazing. I don't want to make this a review of the show but I did buy Live@Last and this was them live. They sold out of cd's so only my buddy got a copy but we listened to it the whole way home, and again today. Live @ Last is a pretty good representation of how good they sound live. Great songwriting and excellent playing. Good mix too. Highly recommend the cd. ANd I'm planing on getting the other one too. But if you can see them live, you must. The singer is just disgustingly good as is their guitarist and sax player. Sometimes you are just overwhelmed with how tight and real their music is but then you are laughing your butt off because they have so much fun it's infectious. All of them were super nice. BUY THIS CD, SEE THIS BAND.

author: jimmie daschI heard their music on their website and fell in love with it-- I ordered the cd and haven't stopped listening to it-- I made an hour trip one way to watch them perform in person and I have no regrets--except for the "one too many margaritas" HaHaha !! I met Guy and Joe and they were so personable and appreciative that I came out to see them-- it makes you feel good they care about the people who listen and buy their music...I now have the new cd (thank you very much-- xoxoxo) and wouldn't give it up to anyone-no way-no how!! I have told many of my friends about the Buicks and taken the cd's to work for my co-workers to listen to-- The lyrics will touch everyone-- in every walk of life-- at some point in a person's life-- I'm waiting for "dirty Streets" to come available so I can order it>> Keep on writing and playing--You are FANTASTIC!!!

Great live cd
author: Mary ZeislerMy friend turned me on to the Buicks a couple years ago. I have their last cd and saw on their website this new one was out. It just arrived yesterday and I am already loving it. Their singer, Guy, is a great vocalist and the band is so tight. Absolutely love the new songs they've written too, really clever stuff. Highly recommend it to all my friends.

author: j. walburnI actually reviewed this bands last cd because I had heard about them through Living Blues Magazine. I liked them a lot. Now I just got their latest release, Live @ Last and I love them. For a live cd, these guys are impressively tight and their song writing is way better than 99% of the nationals I've followed for so long. All catchy tunes, great hooks, well conceived. Vocals and guitar are over the top tremendous. PLEASE COME TO TEXAS!!!

author: T. FranklinFortunate to say I see this band fairly often down in Maryland. They are so hot live. I snapped up one of their cd's the first night they had them for sale. All I can say is, "fantastic". From the vocals to the arrangements to the sound quality, it really sounds like you're sitting there watching them. Some cuts sound like studio tracks they are so crisp and tight. But you can hear the crowd going nuts throughout the disc. Great effort from a truly great band. LOVE IT!!!
