notes
The Bonedaddys are L.A.’s original “Worldbeatniks” (since 1985) and one of the very first American bands to be described as Worldbeat. Well known for their live shows, The Bonedaddys now present their 6th album, “waterslide.” The Bonedaddys songs feature soulful vocals and a twin guitar attack with saxophone propelled by bass, drums and percussion. The 13 grooves on “waterslide” are a merry-go-round of styles and range from rock, blues, mambo, soca, Latin, psycho-billy two-step and rock-steady to a twang afro-surf meets spaghetti-western instrumental. “waterslide” is a gumbo stirred up in light refracted through a prism called Los Angeles, California, USA. All songs are designed to move butts of all persuasions.

Waterslide
author: Richard J. LevyBravo! Waterslide is a fantastic return to World Beat wonderfulness that has always characterized this great band. I hope Mike and the boys come tour the east coast behind the CD. Outstanding cuts are the title tune and "Trampoline." How about reissuing all of the earlier CDs that are out of print? Hey to Rick and Jay.
