With a masterful touch of the keys, Thad Fiscella has just released his first full length piano CD Grand Design, a perfect blend of heart felt simplicity and musical technique – enjoyable for any occasion, and yet intricate enough to hear and feel new ambiences with each listening.

Grand Design was inspired by his Life, Family, and his relationship with the Lord. It is a wonderful blend of classical and contemporary piano, for those who like Jim Brickman or Greorge Winston. The music is simply relaxing and meditative, great for quiet times, mothers with new babies, dinner parties, weddings, art shows, businesses, or any place, or organization where background music is needed.

    I can't count the number of times I've listend to this CD since receiving it only a week or so ago. Thad is a very gifted pianist and has done a wonderful job with this CD. It is very enjoyable to listen to hour after hour. I'm really looking forward to the next one. Would love to see a follow-on real soon. Very well done!! ...and I know based on what he wrote it is his desire to give all the Glory to the Lord. He has surely gifted Thad.

    “Grand Design” is the first full-length CD by pianist/composer Thad Fiscella. Quiet and reflective, the music relies more on emotional depth than pianistic flash, making it an excellent choice for background music as well as for active listening. I really enjoyed listening to it while driving from California to Oregon a few weeks ago - very calming and uplifting. The CD opens with “Letters of Grace,” a piece that reminds me of David Nevue in places. A bit more energetic than some of the tracks, the feeling is lighthearted and optimistic. “Close to Home” conveys warmth and deep contentment - very peaceful and comfortable. “Remember Me” is a favorite. Somewhat nostalgic and bittersweet, a strong sense of longing pours out of every note and phrase. Fiscella’s use of rubato is especially effective here, making the piece sound very spontaneous and sincere. “Longing For Emma” is another beauty. The gentle rhythm and occasional pauses make it sound almost conversational. “My Eve” has a lovely, dreamy flow that is both evocative and soothing. “Reed’s Song” is full of innocence and playfulness, a love song for a child. The title track also reminds me of David Nevue in places. Its subtle energy is infectious, and then the piece pulls back to a more thoughtful space, and then alternates between lively and reflective - a fascinating piece! “Mother’s Love” is full of grace, comfort, and warmth - something like a long musical embrace. “With Love” concludes the album with a simple, tender “so long.” “Grand Design” is a very enjoyable debut, and shows great promise for Thad Fiscella. Check it out!

    I have never been a fan of instrumental music. This CD is the only one I have ever listened to repetitively! I have recommended this CD to many of my friends. It is inspirational, relaxing, and enjoyable for the soul! I have used it as back ground music for chapel service at the prison and everybody that hears it comments on how it really soothes them. I know this CD is inspired by God!

    I have heard Thad's father speak of his talent but this is the first opportunity I have had to listen in detail to Thad's music. I am simply amazed and completely blown away by this work of art. Listening to this CD literally inspired me to the point of bringing a tear to my eye feeling the presence of God in every touch of the keys. I was a professional musician for years and know music and talent, I could listen to this CD for hours on end. It is easy to understand why Thad's father is so proud.
