notes

"...it's a wonderful record...fantastic..."
- Windham Hill Recording Artist, George Winston

"...beautiful, wonderful (songs)...songtress extraordinaire...a special talent!"
- Donald Lacy KPOO Radio, 89.5FM San Francisco

" Following in the footsteps of successes like Fiona Apple and Norah Jones, Teri Untalan is the singer, songwriter, and violist to possibly make the next big jump to notariety.... There is definitely an emotional and intense quality in Untalan's voice and songs that takes the listener on the journey with her."
- **** Nelson, AArising.com

"...(her voice)combines crystalline clarity with formidable ... evocative power, providing sensual surprises with every note ... and if that's not enough, she also plays a very mean viola."
- Tom Kelly, San Francisco Bay Times

Violist, Vocalist, songwriter, Teri Untalan is a tour de force of fearless emotive power. At once intimate, sensual and captivating, yet completely dedicated to a song's story, she's reminiscent of mellow diva's like Sade or Bebel Gilberto. But not afraid to go to the edge with rock roots and jazz sensibilities, she echoes more alternative styles of those like Ani DiFranco and Jeff Buckley. Her songs speak of triumph over adversity, forgiveness, loving surrender, loss and faith.

Recent credits including doing tracks for guitar star Buckethead's solo album "Colma" and Westside Chemical's "Black & Blue". While living in the Bay Area, she's also played or recorded backing tracks for many San Francisco and LA songwriters: David Hopkins, Brad Brooks, Austin Willacy, Butch Berry, Rich McCulley, Duff Ferguson, This album includes appearances by local artists Rich McCulley, bassist Steve Smith with mixes by Westside Chemical's Jamie Lemoine.

Teri currently resides in Portland Oregon.
