Ted Newman has been involved with music for many years. He appeared on American Bandstand with Dick Clark. He toured with Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins. He played bass with John Denver and toured Europe with a folk trio. He served as an officer and pilot in the Army(ours). He has woked as a cowboy, construction worker, retail manager, operations manager for a green chile processing plant in New Mexico, and twenty years as a teacher in New Mexico and Arizona. He has written over 400 songs and numerous poems. A poem he wrote for the cowboy actor, Ben Jonson who passed away,was published in The American Cowboy Magazine. A song he wrote called "THE GREAT SONORAN DESERT" has been illustrated into a book that is used in classrooms to teach children about the desert. He is actively involed in music and lives and performs in Arizona in the winter and does shows and entertains for cowboy cookouts
at the Broadmoor Hotel and guest ranches in Colorado during the summer. He has a wonderful wife, Rosemary, twelve grandkids, and a hiking/fishing buddy named Angel(a yellow lab). His songs reflect experiences in his life.
