As the Teddy celebrates its 100th Birthday, producers and parents Doug and Geri Pell release Teddy Bear Tunes Volume 1, a children's album devoted to the world's most cherished toy, the Teddy Bear. This instant children's hit includes original songs such as "Happy Birthday, Teddy Bear", "Dance With Your Teddy Bear" and "Your Bear Will Be There" and treasured classics such as "House At Pooh Corner" and "The Teddy Bear Picnic."
Distributed through Rounder Kids Records, Teddy Bear Tunes Volume 1 is the brainchild of composer and producer, Doug Pell, inspired by the joy his 18-month-old son found in his Teddy Bear. Pell, who has over 20 years experience in the recording industry, has assembled an amazing, unique team of world-class musicians to perform the ten-song album. On Percussion is the incredible Manolo Badrena from "Weather Report." The Bassist, Mark Egan, comes from the celebrated "Pat Metheny Group." Eric Weisberg of "Dueling Banjos" performs Guitar, Mandolin, and Dobro. On keyboards is Jon Cobert who has been co-producer and keyboardist for Tom Chapin. Best of all, this musical dream is completed by Eugene Ruffolo, whose warm, accessible singing is loved by children and adults alike. The album is recorded and arranged by Doug Epstein, who brings 25 years of studio experience to the party, including highly noted recordings for "Sesame Street."

Music to Move with
author: Heidi MangelsI love the songs. They make you want to get up and move. My daughter just loves the Teddy Bear Picnic song and we listen to it about 10 times a day. I think it will be a great cd for her to grow up with and maybe even keep for her kids.
