Thanks to Hal & Joan Koster for inviting me to join them exploring Newfoundland, Canada. Traveling the road to L’Anse au Meadows we witnessed several sunsets over Labrador. I wrote down “Doctor Guitar” sitting in the old, black VW bug while visiting the St. Pierre et Misquelon island area. Camping on “Windy Island” (named by Joan) in Red Indian Lake for two weeks stirred the spirit deeply, especially those dives into forty five degree water. Thanks, also, to Akane Shirata & Karriem Shabazz for the alerts to resources essential for this project and moral support. Dave Moore of New Hope Recording in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia provided valuable insights and bestowed the name, LABRADOR SUNSET, on this collection of songs.__ John

An immediate family favorite delighting multiple generations! The rhythms are beautiful and warm, the lyrics profound, and the harmonies stirring. The album celebrates the simplicity of what connects us to one another and the natural world.

This is certainly an award winning CD. My favorite song from the CD changes from day to day.
