notes
Long time Chicago favorites, the Bashful Brothers are Rick Pickren on guitar and lead vocal, Peter Seman on fiddle, harmonica, vocal, Jerry Eliason, acoustic bass and vocal and Jethro Burns protege Don Stiernberg on mandolin.
Special musical guests include Greg Cahill of Special Consensus on banjo and Tom Boyd of Dry Branch Fire Squad on banjo and dobro.
For eight years the Bashful Brothers wowed audiences every Sunday playing the bluegrass brunch at the Blackhawk Lodge in Chicago. Oprah Winfrey heard the Brothers there and hired them to play a private party. This is what she had to say about their performance:
"Your music was a true compliment to my dinner party"
--Oprah Winfrey
Bluegrass Unlimited said of Goin' South:
"Rick Pickren is a prolific songwriter whose material is filled with solid metaphors and crisp thought."

Iron Man
author: John Walker"Iron Man" is a swell little ditty which delivers an uninhibited declaration of strong fidelity and classic male moorings in an envelope of upbeat sweetness. Great contrasts and layered chorus.
Very good
author: Hans from GermanyI love this Music and the Voices. Better as the most Nashville Productions. A Must for a traditional Country Music Fan.
