Tanya Dennis.
Now just back from Berlin and preparing for a 2004 European Tour, Tanya is riding high on the momentum generated by "APARTMENT #9".
Her first release WATERDANCE; was a triple award winner and all but one song was written or co-written by Tanya.
Tanya who has spent years in Nashville touring with everyone from JANIE FRICKE to SKIP EWING to FAITH HILL as a background singer/ fiddler and rhythm guitarist, is now happily touring mainly in Europe with her own show. Tanya was voted 1999 EUROPEAN FEMALE RISIING STAR by radio programmers all over Europe.
The first release from the newest CD "APARTMENT #9", "RIGHT IN THE WRONG DIRECTION" is currently in the top 70 most played worldwide songs on the world radio charts. These charts emcompass both major label and INDEPENDENT LABEL Artists as well.
APARTMENT # 9 was created especially for the country music fans in Europe because they like their country straight up no chaser. It's not considered a musical faux pas to sing about hurtin' or drinking over the pond. The media moguls have not yet succeeded in brain or should I say (ear) washing the masses there yet.
No foo foo country music here, just gut wrenching ballads, shuffles to the wall and blue eyed soul at its finest. Not to be exclusive of the purists on home soil either, everyone's welcome in APARTMENT #9.
Tanya covers cornerstone artists like Vern Gosdin, Tammy Wynette and Connie Smith to name a few and throws in some killer new songs to boot.
There are some mighty fine jewels in this little CD.

It was intriguing to see Tanya consider the possibilities of singing a collection of classic country and personal traditional country songs. Her voice and selections of songs make this CD one you will want for your collection. Classic songs never grow old and Tayna should be extremely proud of this project and it’s ability to introduce great songs to a new generation of country music fans.
