notes
Talk To The Hand is a women's a cappella quartet, rocking out in venues in and around Boston.
These foxy ladies use no instruments, except their four voices. Listen to some clips, and marvel that such a full, luscious sound can emanate from these four wee lasses. Hang on to your hat, as you experience Talk To The Hand covers of a mind-boggling variety of pop, rock, and country artists - all rendered with the magical touch of The Hand.

Whee love this CD!
author: Maureen and AdamIf Ralph Waldo Emerson is correct that "in art, the hand can never execute anything higher than the heart can imagine" then The Royal Whee must have the biggest hearts of all. Their harmonies are exquisite and the music is a joy to listen to! Thank you ladies~
You've got to HAND it to them...
author: DavidI have to confess that I normally like the lick of a guitar and the beat of a drum. But the licking and beating the girls from "The Hand" gave me has left me aching for more 'a cappella'. A heady mix of talent, beautiful production and strong (and varied) tracks, the 'digits' work in perfect harmony to produce sounds ranging from the mellifluous to the magnificent. A teasing comment on the sleeve notes suggest that "The Hand" dances too. That, I would like to see. A great addition to any collection.
Hands down, the best make you feel good album in years!
author: DrewLike mythic sirens, Talk to the Hand, lures the listener into their sweet, syncopated world. Starting with a fresh, fun take on “Come on Over Baby”, the CD will have you bouncing and singing along as each song unfolds. With their well manicured fingers, the four women who comprise Talk to the Hand cover artists as diverse as Madonna, The Beatles, The Carpenters, Journey and R.E.M. While the solos on each song highlight the talent of each individual member, the ladies effortlessly harmonize and their group strength lies in their blended, beautiful rhythms. Alternating solos on each song works well for “the Hand” and adds a layer of depth and diversity to an extremely enjoyable CD. After all, whom among us could actually sing the lead on “Fall on Me”, “Our Lips Are Sealed”, “It’s Raining Men”, and “Cruel to Be Kind”? Let’s see Miss Hilary Duff pull that off. By sharing the responsibility of leading a song, the collective Hand pulls off a delightful potpourri of songs with flashes of brilliance from each “digit.” Liz’s voice uplifts each song she leads, especially on “There’s A Kind of Hush” and “Cruel to Be Kind”. On “Fall on Me” and “Love is A Battlefield”, Emily’s lead brings feminine grace to the well known R.E.M. song and substance to the Pat Benatar classic. Laura’s solo on “Our Lips Are Sealed” is sweetly reminiscent of Belinda, while her singing on “I am So Ordinary” is soulful and powerful. Richly textured, fun and full of range, Sarah’s vocal stylings entice the listener deeper into the CD on “Everything You Want” and “Got To Get You Into My Life”. I would strongly recommend this CD to anyone who needs a little pick me up. At its heart, the CD is just fun. Part happiness, part honeyed harmony, the songs will stick with you for days. In a good way. These women invest themselves in the songs and their chemistry is beautiful. If you’ve always wanted a version of “Cherish” that is better than the original or if you or a friend has been desperately searching for an all female, all a cappella version of “I Touch Myself” this is a MUST HAVE. Run, don’t walk, to buy this CD. Or, since you’re still online, just scroll up a bit and buy it. Come on, it’s only a few, tiny inches away, depending upon your screen size. Talk to the Hand is on record as saying it’s not the size that counts, it’s what you do with it. Your computer is choice, that much is clear. You clearly have good taste. Now just scroll up and click it will only take a second. What are you waiting for? I’m telling you, everyone will want to get their hands on “the Hand”. Be the first on your block. It’s something you, your friends and even your mother-in-law can agree on. Plus, I hear if you take your CD to any of the groups shows, you might even get a kiss (on the cheek) from the group member of your choice. Seriously, the CD is beautiful and you will enjoy it. And also, odds are the girls actually will kiss you if you buy it. Seriously. They’re just that good.
