Internationally accomplished concert pianist Takako Asahina’s extensive career includes performances in the United States, France, Germany, and all over Japan. (Including being a two-time gust soloist with the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra at the Osaka Symphony Hall) Takako plays in both the Jazz and Classical styles. She is know by for her versatile style of performance and her original Jazzy-Classical hybrid sound.
Takako Asahina’s recordings include Piano of Healing, La Defense au Clair de Lune, and her new DVD release, My New York Sound.

Wessex Man
author: Brian R WestI can't claim to have an extensive knowledge of music theory, but this lady swept me away with her playing and her performance. Pure chance finding her having followed a trail starting with Keiko Matsui and guided or led by CD Baby. Listen to it or watch it I found it riveting. What I want to know now is how can I get to hear more, isolated or insulated from smooth music here in the UK.
