notes
This is a digital remastering of the original album for John Denver fans, originally recorded in 1984.
It includes a new booklet which recounts the story of the making of the record and many fond recollections of the Christmastime musical collaborations that occurred in the ‘80s between John and the Aspen vocal groups that appear on the album.
Besides John Denver , you will hear the Aspen Community Choir doing several choruses from Handel’s “Messiah” and the Aspen Dickens Carolers doing a few of their Christmas favorites.
John Denver appears on the last four tracks of the record, and is joined by the Carolers and Julie Paxton’s children’s choir for some wonderful holiday music.
A MUST HAVE for John Denver fans!

"I just heard the re release of your Dickens Christmas CD on our very own KAJX: specifically John's rendition of The Heart of Man's a Palace. What an incredible piece of music! To hear John's strong and clear voice again singing this beautiful song brought me to tears. Thanks for capturing this rendition of what is now my favorite Christmas song and for re releasing this classic music on CD. What a treat to hear the wonderful harmonizing of the Dickens Carolers again."

"I have to tell you, that hearing those performances again and so clearly brought tears to my eyes. I am again very impressed by the caliber of singers that were in your different choruses, especially the children. WOW! . . I have been and continue to be inspired by John Denver and the people who were lucky enough to perform with him, like you. Thanks again for making your album available to us on CD". With Gratitude, Happy Holidays!

“I was blown away by the difference in the sound quality of the recording! If you have the record and haven't heard it in a while, the difference will amaze you! Just wait until you hear John singing "Silent Night" on this CD! It stopped me cold, even though I have all of his recordings! "The Heart of Man's a Palace" is one you won't hear anywhere else and always gives me chills because it is so incredibly beautiful. Thank you for finally making this wonderful Christmas album available to us in CD...and just in time to give to friends for the holidays!” Peace and joy!
