For about two years, the indie group Survey Eros has been haunting the bars and nightclubs of Madison, Wisconsin. Begun in a basement in the year 2000, the four piece band is as fiesty and fun-loving as you can possibly be whilst paddling directly against the mainstream current, riding a raft of punk ethos. Nancie is the frontwoman and centerpiece of the outfit, crafting thoughtful and vital lyrics to complement their unique stew of music. Erik and Bill rock along in stride on guitar and bass, and Sean does his slam-a-dam thing on the drums. They were praised in the local music rag Max Ink, retired as champs from the local Tuesday Night Fight competitions on 92.1 FM, and took 5th Place among all entries on songlounge.com for April, May and June. The future is looking bright as well, as Survey Eros has been asked to do some recording at Smart Studios, co-owned by Garbage's Butch Vig. Keep an eye out for them.
