notes
SURCARI derives its name by combining sur, the Spanish word for south (as in Suramérica), and Cari, the first four letters of the word Caribbean. The members of SURCARI are originally from Chile and Puerto Rico.
This CD consists of original compositions as well as sparkling arrangements of traditional and contemporary Latin American, Andean, Afro-Caribbean, Spanish, and world music fused with the sounds of the classical guitar, Andean panpipes, and Latin percussion. SURCARI performs on over thirty wind, string, and percussion instruments.

Wonderful! Wonderful!
author: PennyThis CD truly showcases the marvelous range of Trio Surcari, from the pan pipes, guitars, percussion and vocals - all pieces are beautifully executed and presented to the listener. This CD is a must have for any afficiando of Latin music!
Wonderful
author: Alfredo L. TorresThis CD contains wonderful interpretation of classic Latin American guitar tunes. The only pity is that there were so few tracks on the CD, only 7. I look forward to more CD's from these artists.
