notes
Surf Music rules the universe and The Supertones are its royal ambassadors. Their music is pure, simple and fun. But why take our word for it -
"Highly charged, brimming with vitality, a twang and reverb delight and fine arrangement" -- Pipeline Instrumental Review, Surrey, UK
"Best Suit-Rock Band, clean precision, gives this wahini a woody" -- New York Press, New York, NY
"One of the town's most partyingest bands around!" -- The Music Paper, New York, NY
"Surfin' madness at its best." -- WhatWave, London, Ontario, Canada
The Supertones, a New York City-based instrumental quartet, have been playing around NYC for the past ten years at places like The Greatest Bar on Earth, Luna Lounge, Wetlands, The Rodeo Bar, Manitoba's and Don Hill's, and recently added a semi-annual tour of Puerto Rico to their performance schedule. The Supertones compositions are also featured in reknowned surf documentarist, Bud Browne's recent movies including Surfing in the 50s, Cavalcade of Surf and Locked In. So belly up to the whammy bar and enjoy The Supertones!

Hybrid Mutant Wet Flamenco !!
author: Jimmy NadalThis is a great compilation of the original songs in their vast output. If you only buy one Supertone Cd, this is it!! This is surf guitar music the way it should be played. kEEPERs OF THE FLAME...
Surf's Up! One more time!
author: R.DaveyThis cd is a surf instrumental, killer cd. However, it is a "best of" from previously issued cds. If you like surf instrumentals you're going to love this cd, as I do. Of the 31 tunes (yes,31!) 29 have been previously issued. If you want an overview of past Supertones cds, this is a great starter. Then you can go buy'em all!

great twang-drenched surftones from the band's cd's
author: mike fowlera great compendium from three or so of the band's earlier cd's with some unreleased and live stuff. this is the real surf stuff with great ocean-tones, no vocals, and bent, shivery notes to die for.
