notes
Sunset Slim is what you call a “Honky Tonk Man” He’s a guitar pickin’, Pool Shootin’, Poker Playin , Ramblin’, Gamblin’ Man & he’s been doin’ it ever since he was a little boy.
Born the son of the legendary “Guitar Bobby” aka “ Tucson Bobby the Arizona Playboy”. From the age of 9 years old, Slim accompanied “Guitar Bobby”, on an endless tour of Honky Tonks & Gin Mills . They’d roll in, play a few songs, pass the hat and get in an old Ford & get on to the next joint, to do it all over again.
By the age of 21, Slim is quoted as saying “ I’ve been in more bars than anyone on this planet” “I’ve had the perfect childhood.” Somewhere along the trail Slim became Poker Pro, playin’ the top games in the card casinos of California & Las Vegas. Slim has been livin’ “The Honky Tonk Life” a long, long time. His music reflects the broad scope of his experience. It’s “Country With A Twist” !
