Sukey is a movement based performing artist of children's music and song. Her music is created specifically for families with infants and young children up through age six, and brings an intimate, up-close fun listening experience! Sukey's CD’s have won the Children's Music Web Award, the NAPPA Award, and the Parent to Parent Merit Award, and her music is enjoyed in performance by audiences with young children who have seen Sukey with her own Circle Song Band! Sukey began as a professional modern dancer in NYC with the Solomon’s Company Dance, and at the same time sang with choral groups including working with Gregorian chant. Along with her PlayMove&Sing Inc. co-founder Nancy Ferst, Sukey has recently created a DVD series, Sukey’s Circle!, featuring animated musical themes and refreshing new movement learning concepts. The PlayMove&Sing Inc. mission is to support and promote interactive viewing and learning for the very young child, while engaging children in song, play and physical activities to nourish the developing brain. Sukey continues to teach babies, toddlers and young children in private and public school environments, and gives teacher training workshops and performances at conferences and special events.
