notes
Sue Matthews' silky, smokey voice has been heard all over the world. Lynn Saoirse's melodic, magical Irish harp has moved audiences from Ireland to Argentina and even Katmandu.
They have come together for this album project, forming the duo, Súil, which means both 'eyes' and 'hope' in the Irish language.
Their first album, L'annmoor - 13 songs penned mostly by top contemporary Irish songwriters - will take you on a gentle journey of the heart. They are joined by some of Ireland's beloved instrumental soloists: Máirtín O'Connor, accordion; Nollaig Casey, fiddle and Cormac Breatnach on low whistle; as well as Abby Newton, cello; Liz Kane, fiddle and Garry O'Briain on guitar. With the combined efforts in the studio of James Blennerhassett on acoustic bass, Frank Kilkelly on guitar and Bruno Staehelin on percussion, L'annmoor is a true gem and worth your time for the listen.

L'annmoor
author: Alain HERBUELWe were in Ireland a couple of years ago. You were playing harp by the sea, in a small city, in front of a souvenir shop, pottery, etc. It was a sunny day. I was drawing and painting, and you were playing. It was a wonderful afternoon. We've kept this afternoon in our mind up to know. Thank you for your music and this CD. Alain from France.
