notes

Styliani, Greek-born and American-trained, studied with the legendary saxophonist, Sigurd Rascher, the most important artist in the history of the classical saxophone.
She has been heard on International and National Radio. Performed at Weill Recital Hall (Carnegie Hall), Merkin Concert Hall, the Kennedy Center, and in other concert
halls throughout the US. Recordings include: Remembering Sigurd Rascher, Americas, Dizzy Fingers, and composer Lior Navok's CD Hidden Reflections. Performed for Army
Generals, Secretary of the Interior, His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, ambassadors of Israel, China, Greece and Cyrus. Premieres include works specifically written for
her by Lior Navok, Philip Mantione, and Mark Zuckerman. Credited for the East Coast premiere of Dimitri Terzakis' Der Holle Nachklang. Styliani is also featured in the
International Biographical Centre's Who's Who in the 21st Century(Cambridge, England).

Styliani is constantly challenging and expanding the perceived limits of her instrument, as a performer of new music, world music, styles from other performance periods,
and collaborations with composers resulting in works specifically written for her.
