notes

Stigma was formed in 1999 by front man Brian. Brian composed, and wrote all of the
original music and set out to find members to complete the project. Upon forming, the
music was adapted to fit each members unique style, and Stigma played their first show
to a crowd of 700 people in the fall of 2000.
Stigma has been performing consistently throughout the Upper Midwest since their
debut in 2000. Their fan base has grown significantly and was demonstrated by the
success of their c.d. release show in July of 2002, at First Avenue, (Minneapolis), for
"The Black is Wearing Thin".
Since this time Stigma has played and written new music almost non stop. With each
member contributing to the writing process, the resulting material has a new direction, a
new style and flair, and a feel that is a bit more "rock and roll", than the previous songs.
Currently the band has just wrapped up 1 years worth of touring independently which
has taken them to the west coast, all around the Midwest, and to the east coast, for their
showcase at The Millennium Music Conference 8, and another in NYC.
The recent release of Stigma's new Remix Disc, "Thinner", which features remixes of
select tracks off 2002's "The Black is Wearing Thin", an unreleased track, and live tracks
has brought them to the forefront of the Minneapolis Music Scene once again as they are
preparing for pre production on a full length follow up, due out in spring of 2005.
