Keeping the Sinatra Style alive, even Vic Damone, when he heard Steven singing said, "I thought I was listening to Sinatra's records."

notes

Steven Maglio is a singer of standards.
Although he is especially appreciated for his
renditions of songs made popular by Frank Sinatra,
he is NOT an impersonator.

At eight years old, I heard a recording of Frank Sinatra singing "My Kind Of Town," and began to explore the only Sinatra album we owned at the time, "A Man And His Music." This was the beginning of my addiction, not only to Sinatra, but to that whole world of standard songs and singers. It wasn’t until I reached the age of 35, that I started my lessons. After eight years of study, I finally got the nerve to get on stage at a karaoke bar, and won first prize. In June 2002, I became a member of Joe Battaglia’s 17 piece orchestra, "The New York Big Band," and made my professional debut at New York City‘s "Tavern on the Green." As Frank Sinatra would say, "Now that's class, boy." Since then, I've made this CD, “Songs For Sinatra Lovers!,” joined The Friars Club, and performed with The Symphony Orchestra of Guayaquil, in Ecuador. Every Saturday evening, I perform a show called “Sinatra Songs,” with a live big band, at The Carnegie Club, in New York City. All the show information, an extended version of this biography, music samples and pictures are all at www.stevenmaglio.com

Some of my proudest compliments:

Sidney Zion, New York Daily News columnist and friend of Frank Sinatra, after seeing Steven perform at The Carnegie Club, "If Frank Sinatra could have seen the show you just did, you would be the one he'd choose to continue singing his songs."

Vic Damone, Singer,
"Steven sounds just like Sinatra's records."

Johnny Maestro, Singer,
"I can't believe how much he reminds me of Sinatra.
Even his speaking voice resembles Frank's."

Dennis Farina, Actor, "Terrific, Terrific!!!"

Pat Cooper, Comedian,
"Steven Maglio is the greatest! Do you hear what I'm tellin' you? He's the greatest!"

Brad Garrett, actor, after seeing Steven perform at The Carnegie Club, "I used to open for Sinatra, so I know how he worked. The way you sing, and your whole style of performing, is a beautiful tribute to him.
You do a great show."

The purpose of this CD, is to bring to the diehard Sinatra fans, fresh versions of some of the songs that most of the Sinatra tributeers never touch. At the same time, the casual Sinatra listeners, those who are only familiar with the more popular hits, like “New York, New York,” and “My Way,” will now have the opportunity to experience some Sinatra songs that they otherwise might never have paid attention to. These are the songs that make people want to become Sinatra fans.

I have seen Steven live and there is nothing more I could have asked for but bring home some of that magic touch for Sinatra he has on stage. Every cut on this CD done with such class and perfection. If you are a fan of Frank, you must own this wonderful collection of Stevens' songs. You will not be able to tell the difference. I applaud this CD with high honors!

Steven sounds amazing. I've seen his show in person and have to say that you cannot miss his show and you must get his CD. He claims not to be an imitator, but I cannot believe how much he sounds like Sinatra. Frank would be impressed!
