notes
After 30 or so years (he's actually stopped counting) of constant performing worldwide, singer-songwriter/acoustic music wizard Steve Kritzer is finally an overnight success.
An award winning songwriter (finalist at Napa Valley and Kerrville Folk Festivals) Steve is a regular mainstage performer at the Cork and Belfast Folk Festivals in Ireland, the Bluebird Café in Nashville, Tennessee, the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas, and most points in between, with no apparent signs of letting up ("Am I too old for this? Yeh, but it beats a real job")
Though a "folkie" at heart, Steve wears a lot of musical hats, as comfortable with Celtic and bluegrass music as he is with traditional folk, country, rock, and big band swing, blending these influences with his own ideas and diverse musical talents.
Proud to be called a "Woofer", Steve divides his time between Nashville and California, and Ireland, honing his performing skills, writing with some of Nashville's best writers, and putting his vast instrumental and production skills to use on numerous recording projects for others.. He is also gaining a new legion of fans with his "Young At Heart" shows for the elderly.
His first two CDs and "Dreams Crossing" and his live "Keeper Of The Stones" continue to gather rave reviews. and are starting to get airplay worldwide. His recent "Mandolin Christmas" CD is fast becoming a holiday favorite, and his first recording "October Nights" will soon be re-released on CD.
"His hands are around his guitar and his arms are around his audience" said Radio KEEN's Lynn Scheinberg.

author: Stiv OstenbergBought this CD after picking up his earlier two CDs at a public showing in Menlo Park. We love the CDs as Steves voice is pleasant to listen to, and the music fits so well with his voice and style. Very relaxing music to wipe out the stress of a day at work... Thanks Steve!
