Stella Royale is the latest project spurred from the creative forces of singer/songwriter John Spaw along with bassist/keyboardist Dave Craig who have developed over many years of collaboration an innate communication of musical expression. Together with drummer Rom Kuras, the three-piece dynamic collective of Stella Royale is a constant evolving work that pulls from their wide range of both musical and life-lived influences.
Each song is an uncontrived sincere story inherently different from the next. John’s vocal contrast of crooning falsettos and guttural howls are easily complimented by a soft acoustic strum heard along side gritty electric guitar riffs. Dave and Rom color in rhythms with a bright but bluesy pulse. Hints of americana style and aggressive pop melodies inspired by a poetic narrative affect a soundtrack to everyday life experiences.
Each performance takes on a life of it's own fueled by the bands contagious creative energy. No two shows are quite the same despite their mainstay for aptitude and precision. Stella Royale’s delivery of their unique music along side an engaging beat captivates each audience with a sound that sticks to the soul.
