notes

Last winter and summer, the now former headquarters of Big Buildings played host to a number of wild, shambling, and occasionally off the cuff performances from a number of Chicago bands. LIVE AT THE SWEATBOX, recorded and produced by Big Buildings, cuts a wide swath across the scene, and features some of Chicago’s best bands at their most sweaty and exuberant.. Highlights include a great performance from up-and-comers Catfish Haven, one of the final Returnables shows with John Glick, bizarre Bon Mots stage banter, and more! It was – and now is – all part of this straightforward DIY set of recordings by Chicago bands, for Chicago fans.

Bands Featured:

Big Buildings, Catfish Haven, Bon Mots, Telenovela, Ladies and Gentlemen, The Returnables, Adam Fitz, Riviera, Camaro Rouge, Cracklin Moth, Frodis, Hot Dog City, Illinois First!, Milk at Midnight, Shot of Therapy, Stroby Alliance, Titmice, and Zimmerman Twins
